Well, as wonderful as it is to update reactions, I need to run some errands before the hellmouth fully opens for the day.

Man, Scalia is such a grump. It's almost entertaining to read except he's so wrong it hurts.
And yeah, Supreme Court is not exactly forefront of this battle--it's not like they made this decision 20 years ago when no states had legalized and public opinion majority wasn't for it. That would be pushing on the people (not that it would've been wrong but whatever). Now? Please.
What confounds is that Scalia and Roberts both talk about letting democracy and legislating take their course. And yet, they struck down key provisions of the Voting Rights Act which was a legislative victory for inclusive democracy.
pfft.
people who oppose SSM will be branded bigots,
Because they are bigots! Sorry, Tep's Aunt.
::heats up branding iron::
Own it.
Fulton County just announced a mass wedding ceremony at 1 today at the government center in downtown Atlanta. I feel like I should be taking flowers or something, but I have a !@#$% medical appointment that had to be rescheduled to today because of incompetence.
Also, people have already been gay married today in Georgia and the sky hasn't fallen.
Because they are bigots! Sorry, Tep's Aunt.
Naw, man, she's totally a bigot, hiding behind the Bible.
Oh, also: anyone who knows how involved clerks are in writing the decisions? Because I suddenly had this image of various clerks running around with thesauruses going "ooh! How about 'jiggery-pokery'?!? That sounds like something he'd use right?"
My issue is who cares if someone thinks you are a bigot or a big meanie? I mean, what? You own your opinions and if it makes people think badly of you? So be it.
In other words, not a sound argument for me.

I'm wondering if there will be a mass wedding ceremony at Pride tomorrow. That would be AWESOME.
I almost ended an email to my boss with BECAUSE FREEDOM. She might've understood, but I decided not to push the already-shaky bounds of my professionalism.
Today is a good day. I am still in my pajamas and I'm eating a hamburger. FOR FREEDOM.
