I go to FB to see what my sister and niece are up to and to leave Happy Birthday messages now and then. While my sis and niece are conservative, they aren't prompting me to mutter "momma didn't raise us to be racists, damnit" conservatives, and most of what they're posting involves wrapping up the teaching year and hanging out on the BiL's boat. So instead of rage I just have to deal with a bit of envy.
Typo, I'm looking forward to your book!
Good luck, Sue!
I've culled almost all of the people on my FB feed who will post their own rage-inducing stupidity, but I also have a lot of very intelligent friends who don't mind debating with other (wrong-headed) people, so I still occasionally get some rage by-product. Eh.
It's pretty sad that my reaction to the Andy Benoit tweet story is "An apology that's actually an apology! Score"
Good luck, Sue!
At the moment, I go straight for the group my dog's litter has, because we are planning their birthday party, and skip the rest.
We don't have anyone in Minneapolis, do we? I guess I'm going for work in a couple of weeks.
That sounds sensible, Sparky.
Pixie just stood in the living room yowling until I came to ask her what was wrong and then trotted down the hall to the bedroom and pointedly told me to go back to sleep. Don't tempt me, cat!
And, ha, I completely forgot to add the green onions to my shrimp. So much for buying something I needed at the farmers' market.
The SCOTUS hands down opinions again today at 10 a.m. Jim Obergefell is in the courtroom, but he's been there every possible day, so it doesn't mean they'll hand that opinion down today. I just note it because as much as I have been waiting for this opinion to come down, I can't imagine what it must mean to him.
Jim Obergefell is in the courtroom
I want the SCOTUS to rule in favor of marriage equality no matter what, but Jim Obergefell is from Cincinnati, so that connection makes it even more poignant for me.
