Timelies all!
Came home to find the door to our bedroom closed, and Nova meowing pitifully behind it. We have a house guest, so we keep the bedroom door closed at night. I guess Gary closed it by accident...
Did I write hear about my stupid head thing with that Nick Jonas, Jealous song?
It's a slow afternoon, and the cubemates are chatting. Re: a particularly brutal video game: "I turned it off, because it was just too much. I felt better about my humanity, Game of Thrones hasn't ruined me."
Doesn't sound familiar, msbelle.
Leaving work half an hour late, so much stuff not done, in testing all day tomorrow, bah.
ETA going to buy ice cream on the way home. And the ingredients for sriracha buttered shrimp. Because that might go well with the open bottle of Gewurztraminer in my fridge.
I have not been motivated to do anything all week, not even walk. Work has been a pain, and when I get done I just want to be a vegetable. It doesn't help that my trainer is on vacation--no impetus to get out of the house.
so the song is stupid, but it has a line,
"It's my right to be hellish, I still get jealous"
and every time I think of Hellish and have to say DAWN MUST DIE!
I believe I shall stop by the supermarket and get some potato salad for dinner.
Schadenfreude: Bristol Palin is pregnant again, and "disappointed" about it. Normally, this would not bother me, but the existence of the Palin family in the public eye, preaching about what is right and what is wrong sticks in my craw.
She cancelled her wedding a week before it was to happen, and she hasn't come out to say if her ex-fiance is the father. What goes around comes around. Don't put yourself out there as a paragon of virtue and the arbiter of family values when you're just as dirty as the rest of us.
Bristol Palin is pregnant again, and "disappointed" about it.
Wow. Have to say I'm not schadenfreude or even judgey so much as truly surprised that a Palin would actually admit in public to feelings as normal and human and conflicted as being disappointed to find herself pregnant again.
