Had a meeting today that I thought was going to be part of another round of general training, but it was actually a pre-training run through to find holes and unaddressed sections. They actually tracked me down when I didn't show up on time. Apparently when they said they wanted my input on this stage of the process, it wasn't just general management speak, they actually wanted my specific input as someone who has done this job for a long time. How wonderfully validating (especially since a few years ago, my supervisor's preferred management technique was to threaten my job and point out how easily I could be replaced. Fortunately he went to another division)

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Confederate flag = flag of treasonous losers.
I'm in a mood today.
YAY SCOTUS! I was cautiously optimistic, but I didn't expect 6-3. Still concerned about the SSM ruling, but not too worried.
They're sending the gays to take our Confederate flags and our guns and make us get healthcare!! Maw, bring me my shotgun.
I have discovered a hole in the underarm seam of the shirt I put on this morning. I pray that I do not discover more holes as the day continues.
Oh, hey, guess who still hasn't gotten the Thing she was supposed to get on Monday? That would be me. Sonuvabeech.
Oh, hey, another project with a short deadline. I'm sure that won't be any problem to wedge into my schedule. Sigh.
You know what's good? Chocolate tea with a little cream. Kinda wish I had little sandwiches to go with it. Just bread and butter would be perfect.
Three conference calls down, one to go. Talking makes my tongue touch my stitches, which creates an instant reminder of yesterday. It is hard enough keeping my tongue away from them, I don't need it going there on its own (unless I want to lisp).
I did get a message from my dentist checking in on me and thanking me for "hanging out yesterday". Ummm, yeah. I appreciate the follow up though.
OMG thank goodness on the SCOTUS. I was really going to be screwed because my state is so petulant they actually passed a law preventing them from creating the state marketplace that would allow me to keep my subsidies. So if it had passed, I would have just gotten all the things done I could before they implemented, and then I would have dropped coverage and paid fines. Which would have sucked. But there's no way I could have afforded the unsubsidized rates. It went up enough as it is.
Oy, Suzi, that sounds like too much talking!
