"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Right now Sushirrito is only open in the Bay Area, but I for one can't wait until they are everywhere!

Do they have a food truck? I think I saw it at the last Off the Grid event.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

THANK YOU LEE

Even if it is a cover story to protect me from my alter ego's secret life.

Y'all, Bobby Jindal is running for president.

Oh good lord. It really be everyone in the GOP before they're done, won't it?

Airport shuttles are good investments for peace of mind, Connie. Think of the expense as a percentage of your total vacation expenses (or flight) and it's not much, right?

C Mantegna, he irritates me for some reason. Probably M MGG and F Gibson? Not sure.

Those sushiritos look huge. I don't know if I'm down for that. One of the things I like best about sushi is the bite-sized pieces.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Happy belated birthday, Steph! I was offline for most of the day yesterday. I hope it was amazing.

FCM: Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna, Matthew Gray Gubler

Ugh. I've heard Thomas Gibson is kind of a jerk in real life (even though I think he's incredibly handsome), so if we're talking about the actors and not the characters they play I would: F Gubler, C Gibson, and M Mantegna. I've met him a few times, and he is oh-so-charming and a good man in general.

Now if we're talking about the characters, I would: F Rossi, C Reid, and M Hotchner. (Hey, we both lost spouses way too early under tragic circumstances.)

Go for the shuttle, Connie. Just remember that they may pick up other passengers, so you need to leave early enough to get you to the airport in time.

I think I'll do the reservation now. They want 24-hour notice, but I like to have things nailed down.

2 weeks from now I'll be sitting next to a pool with Elena!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I am sitting on my couch while two hired professionals clean my house. I feel weirdly guilty, but also, oh my god, this is awesome.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just saw Gloria Estefan on my way to Jamba Juice.

And shuttle is scheduled. All I have to do on July 7 is be ready for the driver at my front door, and I'll be whisked away to Vegas. A victory for the Wolf Queen.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I just made hotel reservations so I can visit my mom on the weekend of the 4th. (The 4th is her birthday.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

There's a sushi burrito truck that sometimes parks near my house. I've been wanting to try it, but I keep getting stuck parenting instead.

Which, speaking of getting stuck parenting, guess who's other kid is now sporting a fever? This one has a sore throat to go with his, so the doctors are talking strep, not pneumonia this time. Egad. What's wrong with NOT GETTING SICK over summer vacation?!

Also, I may have resolved my writing sample problem, or rather my husband solved it by reminding me that I can send a link to a book of undergraduate writing I helped edit, that includes an article one of my own students wrote. So there's that.
