So the tooth putty doesn't work worth a damn. I have cancelled the trip and converted my one on one meetings into conference calls. I also have a dentist appt for 9am tomorrow.
I've been wanting to find a new more local dentist, but I'm going back to the one who knows me to get this fixed. I don't dislike them, just didn't want to travel that far for appointments.
Oh man, Suzi, what a bummer!
Yikes, Suzi, what a drag!
Also, if I didn't say it, Yay shrift!
When I called the project manager to let him know, his response was "ok, just send us a picture". Um, NO!
Aw, bummer, Suzi!
I was a little surprised and disappointed that even after the enormous amount of food I ate for lunch I still found myself in need of dinner. However, I realized that meant I could have waffles, yay! Unfortunately, even though I used a whole stick of butter in the batter, the waffles stuck to the iron and split in half so I ended up with a mound of waffle bits rather than actual waffles. Still quite tasty, though. And I have pancakes-in-jars for days (6 days to be exact), so that's good.
Ugh Suzi, sorry to hear the tooth fairies were being asshats with you.
Mmm waffles. I am going to reiterate my recommendation of making a yeasted waffle batter if you have the time. Sooo good. Also, what are pancakes-in-jars if I may ask?
I've been on Padmapper looking at SF listings so much today that I think I've descended into madness.
OK I think I answered my own question. Is pancake-in-a-jar an easy microwavable breakfast treat? If so, seems like an excellent use of extra waffle batter to me.
That is a known route, shrift. And a fast one.
Sausage patty in the bottom of a jar with 1/4 cup of pancake batter on top of it, microwave for 1-2 minutes and it is not completely unlike eating pancakes. Almost like dutch baby style but tiny? Sort of? It's my preferred way of dealing with the "how do I make one serving of pancakes at a time?" problem lately.
Some day I will get back to my beloved sourdough waffles. Yum. I have not tried yeasted otherwise.
ETA: in short, yes, what you said, Burrell!
I need to stay away from apartment hunting today because I have a crapstorm of work to slog through and documentation to write, and nobody wants me to set fire to the entire world because that's where we keep our stuff.
