We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I made a peach pie for Father's Day and it is in the oven now. Hopefully there is enough tapioca in it that it will not turn out to be peach soup, as I have produced in the past.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The only problem for me is the openness at the bosom and the way I am built leads to the general impression being, "Hello, here is an anatomical drawing of my sternum."

My version of that problem is "Here is my cleavage, my keys may be lost in it." I wear lace bandeaus, that other, more reasonably-endowed women can wear as bras, as cover-ups. Also Half-Tees (no link, but Google takes you there) are great; they're literally half a t-shirt: sleeves (or not) and boob coverage, but just a wide band under the bust and no "body". Solves the cleavage-gap problem and the "this item would be perfect with sleeves" problem.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Related, I know I won't be the only one to be ridiculously excited to know that these exist. [link]

Well, that was a complete waste of gas: tried to exchange some cat food, they didn't have any. Tjmaxx & marshalls for shirts, I hate everything. Target was out of the 2 things I forgot yesterday.

I hate shopping.

I looked at the flare dress, and my bottom is larger than my top, so that drapey fit would not be a good thing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The nursing home had ice cream sundaes for Father's Day, so that was nice. A woman my father knew was there, and when she said, "It's whatever from wherever!" he was like, "Sure!" He's still such a faker.

Edit: He didn't say anything after that, which is much more the norm, but I kind of love it that he still knows how to respond to stuff.

Barnes & Noble is having a 40% off sale on DVDs. Sure, you can get DVDs cheaper elsewhere, but B&N generally has stuff it's hard to find. I actually found The Equalizer, which I've only seen online, plus several original Doctor Who DVDs (whover decided to sell those one episode per disc was a genius/jerk). Along with The Equalizer, I got Doctor Who Fang Rock, Claws of Weng Chang, Greatest Show in the Universe, and Terror of the Zygons (the Loch Ness Monster episode, I couldn't resist Tom Baker in a tartan tam o'shanter). And to top it off, they had The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.! I can watch Timothy Leary as a botany professor again!

edit: Once I can get Happiness Patrol and Silver Nemesis, I'll be content with my Doctor Who collection. I've already got ahems of Nine.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I have Silver Nemesis on loan from the library right now. (I own Happiness Patrol, which in Australia and the UK is marketed in a boxed set called Ace Adventures, along with Dragonfire. It has one of the best special features I've seen on these discs, namely a documentary on the relationship between Doctor who and politics.)

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Am at the closing jam, which is kind of jam-ish.
