I had fresh roadside stand strawberries--small ones, red all the way through, eat 'em now because they won't last--and plain yogurt for lunch yesterday, and for dessert last night, a fresh peach, cut up, with more yogurt, and garnished with fresh cherries. Fruitopia, I tell you what.
Love this time of year! I got local strawberries, cherries, and raspberries at the market Saturday. And the wineberries that we forage should be busting out soon!
When I graduated from High School, my grandparents on my mom's side did not come to my graduation. Instead they came down two weeks later for strawberry season.
Oh Jesse, I'm sorry, but you're probably right about Father's Day. Wish I had some mental armor for you.
Oh, thanks. I'm pretty well armored up, really.
Good news about the insurance, Zen!
I don't think we have fruit here yet. But my CSA does start tomorrow! It will probably be all greens.
We just had a little chat about how I'm not a good housekeeper and he's a neat freak. I may need an alibi.
I may need an alibi.
One of us will have your back. FINISH HIM.
Fruitopia, I tell you what.
Best thing about summer if you ask me
This is the time of year we have to play Tetris with the contents of the fridge to get all the produce to fit (because I am strongly in favor of refrigerating almost all of the fruit [bananas are the exception; avocadoes stay out of the fridge to ripen, but then they go in the fridge when they get ripe]).
He's just showed me all his tattoos.
Timelies all!
Zen, no jury would convict.
Had my annual eye exam today. Everything is fine, though my left eye is one line worse than last year. (Right eye is the same) Now waiting for the eyedrops to wear off and my pupils to go back to normal.
Have you pointed out to him,, Zen, that if he doesn't finish the job he doesn't get paid?
He's doing a really good job, though. He's explaining to me how things work, which I appreciate. He's just talky and friendly and has a bad sense of boundaries.
