Because books.

It's in a Bugs Bunny cartoon, though (probably more than one).

My first exposure to a lot of classical music, I have to say.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Sophia, my dad said that he doesn't think it means that you're required to have coverage in Massachusetts, but that you should ask the university's HR department to be sure.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Burrell, much ~ma to your FiL. Having had my own experience with a lawn mower injury I can tell you that the ER paperwork will include the diagnosis "traumatic amputation" (which can now be his metal band name). I hope Franny is feeling better.

Things you do when working at a public library: successfully identify a piece of classical music, as hummed by an elderly woman, over the phone. (Grieg, Peer Gynt, the Morning theme.)

Nicely done!

Sail, in your MRI dealings have you met Tobias Gilk? Every time I see any story on MRI safety he is quoted.

Ahah!! This has been bothering me ever since -t mentioned the "sky train"--it's not a sky train at SFO, it's an "air train"! That's why I thought of airports.

...ok it probably wasn't bothering anyone else. But, completeness. And buffistas.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I have not; the name is not even vaguely familiar. However, it would not surprise me at all if I do encounter the name in some way, shape, or form as some part of my duties as outlined is to track compliance issues. Plus, we have a 10-year contract with GE: they give us MRI machines free of charge and we do massive amounts of research, then report back to them. We save between 1.5 - 3 million dollars per machine and I think we've got 3 MRI besides multiple CT and PET scanners from them, too.

Burrell, I'm somehow just processing your fil cut his fingers off.

GAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

I did not sneeze my brains out by 10, but I wish I had. Instead fell down a rabbithole 3 years old and 21 years in the making. Brane is moosh. But I think I found at least 2 methods of fixing, and damn sure understand the problem now.

Installed AC. Made sure it worked and... Turned it off and opened windows and turned on fan. But won't be like this tomorrow.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hooray for positive reinforcement for your perseverance, Tep! And yay gums!

I'm glad you sorted that out, meara. Yeah, I've taken the air train, but sky trains, so romantic! Because I don't know what it is, I'm sure, but still.

Soufflés are in the oven (one goose egg makes two individual soufflés + a mini, apparently). I am kicking myself for waiting so late to start making them, but no doubt they will taste delicious whether they objectively are or not.

I spent 45 minutes stepping up and down on the stairs to my garage (there are two) when I wasn't pacing around my kitchen or maybe down the hallway trying to keep my heart rate in the correct zone. I just kept thinking how ita would have laughed at me for finding something more boring than jogging. Totally forgot that I could have listened to the next Zombies Run episode while I did it until I was almost done, too. But, hey 31 minutes of that elusive "moderate effort" for my trouble, not bad.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Every time Murray walks across my laptop, he turns the voice on that reads out what's on the screen. How does he do that? *I* don't even know how to do that.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Finn's trick is rotating the display 90 degrees. It takes him one pass across the keyboard, but it takes me 5 minutes to remember how to get to the menu that lets me turn it back.
