Okay, I confirmed that my old stylist moved to California, so I went ahead and scheduled an appointment tomorrow with one of the salon's master stylists. Because I am in dire need of a haircut.

TJs sold at some point a watermelon-flavored beer.
21st Amendment Watermelon Wheat Beer, probably. Delicious, and I'm not a fruit (or wheat) beer drinker. edit: Though I can only really do one or two at a time. Unless I'm at the brewery. And then it's game on.
All the WTF? at Steph's neighbors, though.
Aw, kids! They look like people, but are actually mostly animals.
So true. I'm sorry Noah hurt your feelings, Kat.
Boston (and Salem) Beer Works does a watermelon beer seasonally (and I think they now bottle it year-round).
But, yeah, WTF neigbors?
juliana!!!
Took CJ to the bank and changed his account from being under mine to on his 18 year old own.
Suzi, that sounds like a milestone.
I was looking for a word to describe the reaching of milestones by one's children, where you feel pride and excitement but also a twinge of melancholy and nostalgia. I figured there must be a word in German that explains that. (Noah has been learning to ride a bike this summer).
After I did onerous tasks, I went to Michael's and bought some yarn--just to experiment with, of course, I can stop whenever--and some clearance containers to start putting all the stray gaming figs into. I figure I know enough about Warhammer to tell which sprue of arms goes with which army, so I can put together grab bags of bits to eBay.
Kids, man! It's a good thing they're cute, because sometimes that's all they have going for them.
My oldest niece is starting Kindergarten this fall, the middle one is in a phase where she tells you she loves you, and the youngest is a baby Hulk who speaks Martian.
Oh my god! Our local public library checks out pre-loaded Kindles. They have genre collections and you just... check them out, books preloaded.
I LOVE this idea.
How interesting!
W-E-E-K-E-N-D, finally.I think it's officially time for wine.
Heh, went and poured myself a glass before actually hitting post, so, there you go.
That IS a neat idea (eta - Kindles, though wine would be nice now too).
So, the nerve drama continues. My insurance continues to refuse to pay for Lyrica. Despite my doc sending in prior-authorization forms, they are demanding I try the generic version. I called the doc's office to see about getting a prescription for the generic cause I'm tired of fighting, but asked for the next strength up because I'm starting to feel twinges again. So. Flipping. Tired. Of. This.
Teppy - can you provide any insight on the difference between Pregabalin and Gabapentin? I have tried researching but since Trigeminal Nueralgia isn't one of the specifically named ailments either drug treats, it is hard to find anything.
