Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

Mmm, hash. That is weird it was small, most hash I've been served has been in enormous portions.

So complaining on the board fixed one thing - an itinerant lawn mower came by and offered to do my yard for "whatever I want to pay", so I gave him 20 bucks and the grass is cut. He also cut down the "weeds" that I was leaving because they flower pretty and I'm hoping to harvest some of that salsify now that I theoretically know how to, but they'll come back.

Pancakes made (and some eaten)! Some dishes washed! Some laundry washed! I am making progress.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That is weird it was small, most hash I've been served has been in enormous portions.

That's what I thought! I mean, it was a perfectly appropriate meal, but I was in a restaurant in the United States.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Was it artfully arranged hash?

I cut down the weeds in teh back yard, and did some laundry, and packed up some of my kitchen. I'm slowly packing up the kitchen so it won't be so difficult when the contractors finally give me a start date. I'm down to four bowls, 2 plates, 2 wine glasses...

I might write some fic, which would be a change of pace.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Went out for breakfast, grocery shopped, came back home, started laundry and and changed the litterbox.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

We might be putting an offer in on another house. Meep.

Is it one of those deals where they will say "we can start tomorrow" and if you aren't ready it's back into limbo for your start date?

I know I washed all my "cold" clothes last week, so everything in that pile must have been worn this week. How is there so much? I do not recall any mid-day costume changes.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I managed to get some adulting done, today, after having a minor panic attack that kept me from attending a friend's retirement party. What with starting the new job tomorrow, I flipped out when I thought about sorting out all the stuff I'd brought back from my old office and what I wanted to take to the new. The thought of doing it after the part made it seem insurmountable, hence the flipping. But once I made up my mind it was okay to skip the party (I'll e-mail her later today and offer a day out of her choice, e-mail because I realized I didn't have her phone number.) Got all my stuff sorted and ready for tomorrow, made shepherd's pie for dinner, sliced up strawberries for short cake, now all I have to do is make the shortcake. Later, laundry, so I have my newest dress from eShakti to wear to work tomorrow. Take that, panic attack.
