I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My parents gave me an Ancestry.com membership for my birthday. I'm looking at the 1870 census, marveling at a very distant uncle whose name was Elphiges. What a name.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

our friends' annual Cheese Ball (really, it's just a party where everyone brings cheese but we all dress up really fancy -- or whoever wants to dress up fancy does, and everyone else wears what they want)

I want to go to there. I wonder if there's any way I can make something like that happen near me. I don't know anyone with a house like that, though. Love.

Ooh, fun, Dana!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

The cheese ball sounds like a heck of a lot of fun. Also, yummy!

In other news, I have discovered that while both cats are surprisingly meh towards catnip, both of them LOVE lemongrass, and would eat my plant down to nubbins if I allowed them.

I gave them a long leaf from the plant and each grabbed an end and started nomming, leading to a very Lady and the Tramp moment.

All you need is a place to gather (big-ass swanky house not required) and people who are willing to dress up fancy and bring cheese. And the fancy dress isn't even a requirement. It's just an excuse to eat as much cheese as possible.

Last year, someone really did bring one of those giant clear plastic tubs of neon orange puffed cheese balls. Which I ate.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

One of my goals when I move is to have some fancy parties.

And, you know, cheesecake is allowed. (Actually, people could bring anything -- there were some salads, too. And obviously crackers and bread. But mostly cheese. And probably 90% of the guests dressed fancy. I wore my tiara!)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I am slightly bitter, slightly, that this happens after racing and I had a political breakup. I heard the screaming from the bar downstairs from my massage therapist, and hoped it was that.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Well, Liese, your song made me cry, which I think is a definite measure of success. Other than that, I liked the harmonies (especially in the "ah ah" part near the end) and thought some of the imagery was very powerful. Kintsugi and wabi sabi are two of my favorite concepts; great idea for a song.

Liese, that's an artwork to be very happy with. Gonna listen a few more times when not interrupted to yell GIT DOWN LOKIDAMNIT.

I have vacuumed and mopped the whole damned house and now the damn floors will not dry. I really need to triage the coffee table but I'm about worn out and need to walk Loki before I turn him into slippers.
