Anya, the Shopkeepers of America called. They wanted me to tell you that 'please go' just got replaced with 'have a nice day.'

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The Belmont, I think?

ETA: Yeah, the third race of the Triple Crown. 1:30 pm board time according to the guide on my TV

Liese, I don't know where you want feedback to go, and critical feedback is not really my forte, but I love everything about that song.

So far today my big accomplishment has been talking myself out of buying a new fitness/activity tracker to replace the Nike Fuelband that won't hold a charge anymore (it charges up when I plug it in, but as soon as it's off the charger, no juice) since I have a perfectly good heart rate monitor that will talk to my phone and Polar is happy to give me training advice.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Karl, I am sorry for your loss.

Last night I stayed up late to finish reading Sharp Objects and I just watched Hannibal. Maybe I should go sit in the sun for a while or something.

Yeah. A little light and warmth might be a good idea...

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Leaving fb here, Liese--love the song. A lot. One of my favorite parts is the harmony as it winds down, but then close harmony resonates with me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, the harmony was great.

I thought I had missed the race but I tuned in right before it started. Yay!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Horse racing spoilers:

Holy shit, I didn't think American Pharoah would hold on, and then he opened up down the stretch. Beautiful.

I know, right?

I don't follow horse racing, but I do love to see them run, and that was a real treat.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Wow, what a horse. They're saying only Secretariat ever ran the Belmont faster. And now we finally have a Triple Crown winner after, what, 37 years?
