It was a line from last night's episode of Adventure Time.
Oh, that's way less fun than I was hoping!

I do really love the idea of kintsugi, as well. New term to me, and I'll have to look up some stuff. It's totally intriguing to me.
Looking forward to hearing/reading the song, Liese.
Plei! You SOLD THE HOUSE! YAYAYAYAYAY!
My dad's dietary choices have changed. Of course, he has no teeth, and hates wearing his dentures, but he swears he never liked garlic, or ate sauerkraut, when he totally did. Mom and Suzy try to make him as healthy choices as possible, but he's picky, but even though his diet is pretty repetitive now, he gets adequate nutrition, and Suzy is really good at sneaking fruit and veg into things he does like.
It saddens me, because my dad was the one who made me into an adventurous eater. Suzy (my sister) brought home a small mess of morels from a guy at work (advantage of working with MO rednecks -- free morels, free venison and no matter what kind of side work you need done cheap, someone can do it, or has a cousin who can.)
Daddy said he's never eaten a morel before, and he was the one who took us mushroom hunting on our 11 acres when we were kids, taught us how to soak the bugs out, batter them and fry them in butter. SO GOOD. I just about crapped when I saw a morel stand in KC, and morels were like, $40/lb. We used to come back with Wonder bread sacks FULL.
"You have to believe that your efforts can be monitised." -guy talking to another guy at the table next to me. I think he's hiring the guy as a salesman.
Sounds like the conversations I overhear from eager 20-somethings laying out their plans to retire at 35 through a combination of real estate, stock markets, and this great opportunity their father-in-law will get them.
I really need to learn more about kintsugi so I can, like, base my life on it. Or not if learning more leads me away from that, but my gut says that's the way to go.
Is this a Chris Evans thing?
Yep. My, that kid was a late bloomer. You know how in high school there were the puberty stragglers who managed to look about 13/14 as late as 16?
One of those.
(And it's not just that I'm old now and kids look young: I've gone through my yearbooks recently, and most of my nieces and nephews are teens. He really does look younger than his apparent age of 16 in the thing. I find it inexplicably hilarious.)
I looked about 13/14 until I was around 18 or 19, at which point I looked like I was 16 and continued to look about 16 until I was well into my 20s.
I am all for Team Soft Butch, though I'm more a fan of the harder core just straight up Butch. ;)
I am feeling completely overwhelmed by the number of work things that need to happen between now and the end of the month. Trying to figure out what needs to happen TODAY, and what I can put off until after I return from vacation on Wednesday....and how I can turn my brain off and de-stress by the end of the day today.
I look my full 43 years now. It's the grey.
