Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I must resist going back to the website and buying more.

Does not compute.

Pressure! I'm feeling peer pressure!

And I have a discount off my next purchase . . .

I should probably do some work first.

Burrell, luckily you'll get to try again. Luckily we aren't defined by one moment in our regular lives.

So today an old guy walked into the locker room at the gym. I was towelling off after my shower. Nothing like early morning mortification.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Burrell, luckily you'll get to try again. Luckily we aren't defined by one moment in our regular lives.

This is true, although the problem with this particular moment is that it happens enough that my children have already incorporated it into their image of me. Which is why I hates it so when I do it.

Nothing like early morning mortification.

Oh dear

So the plan for today is to get some writing done. Planning on writing significantly increasing the likelihood that I'll do it.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I am "working from home" today, which -- since I'm caught up on my grading heading into finals for once in my life -- means goofing off and running errands. The bad news I woke up to today, though, is that our health insurance costs are going up again (don't get me started), which means the 4.5% raise I was so excited about will essentially be eaten by insurance. Grrr.

Because books.

I live in Crocs now. They're perfect for work, especially since I need to hose off the flour at the end of the day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Truth.

And speaking as the child of a yelly mother, it all fades away in 20 or 30 years.

I got shortlisted for a job I applied for in Warsaw, Poland. I am flabbergasted. I applied less than a month ago. I have no idea what I am going to do if I get the job.
