I would like to hear more about the oatmeal-esque custard, -t!

Teppy, jaw clenching is a side effect of some anti-depressants, just FYI, don't remember if you're on one right now. Sadly I have no recs--I bite the insides of my cheeks in my sleep, it can hurt in the morning!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yeah, I sometimes clench my teeth and bite my cheeks/tongue in my sleep. I don't know if it's a side effect of something or just stress. Wearing the Invisalign retainers has curbed that, nice bonus to teeth straightening, but a Valium also works on nights when I don't wear them.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just made the custard so it is fresh in my mind! Simmer a can of TJ's coconut cream for a few minutes with a teaspoon of vanilla extract and half a cup of water. Crack two eggs into a bowl and whisk. Add a couple of tablespoons of the hot cream to the eggs while whisking to temper the eggs (I keep adding cream a tablespoon at a time until the little bowl is almost filled because I don't completely understand tempering and figure more won't hurt), then return the cream-egg mixture to the pot. Simmer another 5-10 minutes, stirring some, until you can draw a line with your finger on a spoon coated with the cream and it stays clear. Add a sliced up banana and blend with an immersion blender (or pour into a blender, as you prefer), add a quarter cup of chia seeds, a teaspoon of cinnamon, and a pinch of salt and blend some more. Pour into 4 or 5 jars (usually I make 4 servings, today exactly the same recipe made 5, I don't know why or how) and let set up in the fridge over night. Eat with spoon. Sprinkle with nuts if you like that sort of thing.

I don't really know about the jaw clenching, Tep, but I would guess a muscle relaxant might be best for immediate relief or a hot compress/heatig pad like might help any sore muscle. That's the sort of thing people wear mouthguards to prevent, maybe try an OTC one of those?

You could go to a roller rink, Zen. Or ride a roller coaster. Do one of those drink-wine-and-paint classes I see on Groupon.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Tempering is to keep the egg from cooking when introduced to hot liquid. A little bit introduced at a time brings the eggs up to the same temperature, slowly, so that the egg won't curdle when added to the rest of the hot liquid (think egg drop soup, where it's done intentionally.) Adding more of the liquid to the egg is not bad that I know of.

Yeah, if it doesn't stop, I'll get one for sure. It just started this week when Tim was in the hospital, so I'm hoping it was just a reaction to that, and now that it's over, it'll stop.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Putting a roll pillow or rolled towel under your neck helps with the teeth clenching. I tried a mouthpiece, but when I woke up and found that I had apparently thrown it across the room in my sleep, I suspected the mouthpiece was not going to be the answer.

There is something very painful wrong with my neck. I'm hoping my chiropractor has an opening tomorrow.

On Madame Secretary, Tea Leoni was wearing a blue satin fancy dress that had POCKETS.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Ha! Ginger, I’ve woken up without my mouthpiece many times, but I still must be wearing it long enough to prevent much of the clenching since my jaw doesn’t hurt in the morning. Tep, I haven’t found anything else that helps other than the guard.

Sausages made, so that's, like, 3 weeks of breakfasts. No lunches, and no dinners (including tonight's) but I will worry about that after GoT

Why do most bras give me quadraboob, even when they're too big? Always cutting across the top. My build isn't common, I guess. So annoying. Soma failed, nordies failed (well, there was one. But I'm not spending that much on something that was flimsy enough, it wouldn't last long.) found something workable at VS, but the problem with them is they change offerings so often, I'll probably have to do this again. And quality is variable. But at least not for a year or so.

Did not put in the ac. I think I can get through the week, but I've got to get it in by next weekend. I can't vacuum in 80+. Well, I can, it'll just be gross and I'll hate everything.
