Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Timelies all. I'm such a skipper I should be calling everyone "little buddy". I did see all that craziness with Teppy and Tim, and am very happy it has resolved itself.

Also, I've had this stack of Beer Advocate magazines I've been trying to get around to reading. I pulled out the next one up and who's picture should I see in the contributors page? Our very own Nora!

Yay, Nora!

I am interested to hear about the dvt too. I should probably know the signs, I think being on an airplane all the time is supposed to increase risk.

I am sleepy. And I ran out of coffee yesterday, so I need to get outside-clothed and go buy some. Blahhhhh. Mornings.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh right! I need to do a coffee run too, thanks meara. But first some breakfast, and I should set up some doctor appointments.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

does the irony come down to the intention of the wearer, or the interpretation of the viewer?

Yeah, I guess that is my fundamental question.

I'm such a skipper I should be calling everyone "little buddy".

It took me way to long to parse this. I'm all, did Frank buy a boat? What?

Yay Burrell! I, too, have eaten and have coffee. Mmm, coffee. Now I'm contemplating if I should go buy decaf for the sole purpose of making some cold-brew that I can drink ALL DAY LONG. Because summer demands iced coffee. (I bought the cold brew concentrate from trader joe's, after buying some of the starbucks iced coffee from the supermarket, but neither of those is decaf).

The repair people for my car just called--she was like "I was wondering what happened to the cover for your spare tire?" (since the tire was what got hit in the accident, though hitting it bent other things too). I informed her it got stolen like, six months after I bought the car (true--Vortex was there, that night!). She apparently ordered a new one thinking it had been damaged in the accident! Hah. Don't think I'll get to keep it but that would be pretty funny (she confirmed it's about $500 these days, so that's way more than I'm willing to spend)

Oooh. I should do that. Or make iced tea with my hippie fruit tea.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I forgot my headphones at home, so naturally everyone is irritating and loud, and there are landscapers outside.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I was planning to come in early today and just attack the giant pile of work on my desk, but I woke up feeling so awful from allergies that I took my temperature, which of course was normal.

I would have called in sick, but a) giant pile of work, and b) I said I'd be in office today to pick up a package for a coworker. I only just dragged myself into the office. I'm feeling petulant and my desire to do any work approximately is negative eleventy billion.
