Jessica, we had a stove similar to that. It was a heat monster. When I think of that house, I just remember the unremitting heat. (It also had east facing french windows around the entire living room).

Jessica, that house is gorgeous. And I cooked on a stove very much like that for a few years -- aside from relighting the pilot a lot, it worked really well.
