-t, apparently my dad is back on the county water board. Let's hear it for our dads' second/third/fifth careers!

I'm pretty much certain he's always going to be running something outside the house in retirement. I knew he was never going to be the leisurely retired guy. Oh, and he's a LWV volunteer now after accompanying my mom to a meeting where she got appointed cochair of something.

I'm glad. Couple years ago he pretty much backed off everything because of/ possible depression caused by the maybe stroke. Not a great plan. He's been sounding happier lately and honestly, the past 2 weeks when they had the boys, he was practically gleeful.

Mom & Dad are also heading out of town for a weekend in Lassen at least partially to avoid going to a fundraiser for one of their friends who is running for mayor. So the political career will not be all encompassing.

That's what my brain says, but my memory is distinctly spotty.

Sophie, no worries. I had a friend who had to learn what DTF means the hard way: by using it incorrectly on FB and watching as the raised eyebrows began to appear.
