As for death penalty, I wouldn't be on the jury because I would never find it acceptable. How more premeditated can murder be than the death penalty? It is strictly a moral thing with me. Two wrongs do not equal a right. I can see murder in self-defense or defense of others and that type of thing, but cold decision making by "civilized" society to take life just goes against my being. I get why others favor it, but I have never been able to accept it as an option.
I was not a fan of Penn Jillette prior to that, but now I hate him! Good job.

Hi folks, I've been away from WiFi for a few days and out on a sail boat with 30 middle school kids. In the rain. Which I admit signs like a terrible idea but it was great. My daughter is freaking fearless. Oy! I need to put together an album of pics for Facebook. But right now I'm sitting with a cousin's pomeranian I think this dog has been bred to be nuthin but cute.
Glad it wasn't bad, Burrell--that definitely sounds like it could be a nightmare.

I just got to the race start (it doesn't start for an hour but I have a book. And the Internet). They claim at least a few people are walking the 10k...but there's only about 90 people signed up. Eek.

I am thinking about signing up for a 5k on June 21. It is tempting me with offers of champagne and chocolate at the finish line. That's more than a month away, plenty of time, maybe.
Relatedly, I am still sore from riding my bike on Thursday so I should probably do more of that.
