Hey, my brother has been sober for 3 years today. What's weird is that I woke up this morning thinking that his sobriety anniversary is right around this time in May, but I couldn't remember the exact date, because my memory is shit. And then he posted about it on Instagram this morning.
I don't like to think about it too hard, because when he went to the hospital, he had liver damage and the doctor said he was probably a year away, at most, from advancing to cirrhosis (if he kept drinking, that is). But his liver healed totally after he quit, which is amazing, since he abused it on an epic scale.
Three years. I'm so proud of him.
That's great, Steph. Congrats to your bro!
Searching for things on tumblr may be the most frustrating thing in the entire world.
Yuuup.
Dear tumblr, please let me go to a specific date on my dashboard.
Or is that a thing you can do and I just don't know how?
Great news, Steph's brother!
So, my coffee is down to 1/7 caffeinated this week. I think I will probably allow myself a cup of fully caffeinated on Saturdays, because this makes sense in my head, so given that does it make sense to just make the jump now to fully decaf the rest of the week or should I keep tapering down?

You're getting close to a homeopathic does of caffeine.
I'm curious. Why are you switching to decaf?
I'm pretty much totally decaffeinated during the week (except for tea/tea blends). On the weekends I go for half-caf; I find it still does the trick for me without the downsides of fully-leaded.

Can you navigate to the specific month at least in your archives?
Caffeine's not recommended with Adderall. I cut way down to one cup a day, but my blood pressure was still a little high and I was having trouble getting to sleep, so I thought I'd try decaf, but I was afraid just switching would give me withdrawal headaches.
I often don't take my pills on Saturdays so I figure fully-leaded then will be okay (and a pound of coffee will last me about 6 months if I'm drinking one cup a week, so I can get really fancy stuff (and ruin it by keeping it in the freezer for 6 months, but I'm okay with that))
It's possible I have given this too much thought.
