Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Whoa, Jesse. That is cool.

Did folks here see the video of the woman who's phone was smashed by the police? She's a friend of mine. Frances has been friends with her daughter since 4th grade. I just found out today. And the story behind the raid she was filming is so friggin' problematic; all those guns, and they didn't arrest anyone because NOTHING ILLEGAL was going on. Crazy. Just in case you haven't seen it, here's a news story on it: link She's been a community activist for years, but she has been shocked by the reaction to the video.

I am encouraging her to write about it.

My toenails hurt.

Ended up coming home just after curfew. Exhausted, wedding was fabulous, danced too much and something had me go barf and feel instantly better after. Twice. Which led me to chose not to camp out in someone else's room. Just hormones and sugar and the craziness of today, I expect. But was able to bring bouquets and gifts & centerpieces home. And I'll see them tomorrow for the rest of the cleanup.

Yeah, that was a good, if abruptly ended, party.

The only time I cried was at the opening of the ceremony: Joe's friend and the marrier started out with their feelings about what's going on which caused the schedule change and all. It was a lovely tribute to the protests and Baltimore and the spirit of the city. I'm gonna try to get a copy to share. And of course they'd do that, integrate it into their marriage ceremony, because they love this place so. And I love em even more for it.

(Can't sleep, 16 hrs of on have completely frazzled me.)

The full moon is coming through my office window, and I can see it clearly. So happy I had that surgery.

And NOW the curfew is lifted. Hmph. I was flagging, but woulda lasted another few hrs if I would've been able to come home at will.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I have hundreds of more important things to do, so I'm rearranging my books. Perhaps I just want order somewhere in my life. It's causing me to ponder many things, such as why do I have so much Norton, when I find most of her stuff unreadable today, and the same for Burroughs. (I have the Norton out of nostalgia and some of the Burroughs for the Frazetta and Krenkel covers, but still.) Also, why is there so much SF by people with last names starting with W?

I knew that there had been some rodent activity around one bookshelf during the last infestation, because Mr Peabody had made hash of the SF H's through L's. Taking out all the books revealed that mice had made a little home behind the D's and E's, a home that included a small stuffed dog toy they'd hauled up four feet. While this might make a charming children's story, from my point of view, eeeew.

That's sad, I've been quite pleased that my favorite Nortons are still readable.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Three days after I bought a new Fitbit, I found the old Fitbit. So now I have two Fitbits. I feel better knowing I didn't lose the old one, but I feel bad because it was still hooked to the bra I was wearing that weekend so if I cleaned up and did laundry more often I would have found it a week ago. Is it better or worse to have lost a thing in a pile of laundry rather than, say, leaving it behind in a hotel room?
