These girls have the most beautiful dresses. And so do I -- how about that?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Kat, H St NE. It's totally hip now!

Today, the flower Mart. I wish I had slept better.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm working from home again today. I think I might actually take some sick time and knock off early if nothing urgent comes up.

ETA I feel kinda bad for the people in my department who are at the office today - I'm not there, two other people are working from home and two people are on vacation. That's half the department. Must be quiet.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So sorry about Folly, Burrell. And about the client loss, Steph.

But Jessica, that house looks AWESOME. That porch! Holy cow. Congrats on being moved in, Suzi!

I missed other things in my thread-sucking, I'm sure.

In land of Me, I had a flying visit to NYC last weekend with my friend E, and yes I know we didn't visit any Buffistas. Sorry, we were booked solid, maybe another time. But we did go to Sleep No More, which was the best possible use of that $100. Such a coooool show.

And now I'm back and I've applied for the Very Last Time for the job I'm currently doing (this makes 7 times). Word is that everyone is telling my boss he has to hire me, because two of my coworkers are leaving in the next month (this is in addition to the three guys who are retiring in the next 12 months). Hopefully he has learned his lesson.

Working from home today because of the protests downtown, and I went out into the yard with TNG and my neighbor came running up. Turns out her brother, who lives next door to her, got home invaded on Saturday afternoon. He has dogs, and they forced their way into the house, told him they didn't care if he saw their faces, and took a bunch of his stuff, his ATM card, and his car keys.

This is the house across the street.

And, worst of all, TNG is literally on her last legs and will be making her last visit to the vet tomorrow. I love her dearly but she can barely stand.

I cannot get another dog until the fall, but now I really want one in the house. I wonder if I can foster for the GSD rescue people.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I think I saw you in the subway station, Consuela.

Holy crap, really?

Did I look confused and baffled by your horrifically complicated subway system? In which case, it was probably me!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am so sorry about TNG, Suela.

Was that you hauling luggage through the Jay St-Metrotech turnstiles? You did look baffled. I didn't say anything, because seeing you in the subway was so out of context!

Yikes, Consuela! Across the street is pretty damn close for something like that. Damn.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Consuela, I'm so sorry about your neighbors and about TNG. Fostering sounds like a good idea.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh, I'm so sorry about TNG Consuela. Sending lots of love your way.

The home invasion stuff is so scary. I think about it a lot more now, what with my neighborhood turning into the kind of place where they have gang shootings in the little neighborhood park or the 7-11.
