My only mental reference for cuddle parties is the CTA during the evening rush. Somehow I don't think it's quite the same.

I am annoyed and flabbergasted. Mac's bday party is tonight. invites were given out to the 5 boys on tuesday. it said 6:30pm start and said where we were going and gave my number to rsvp. 1 person rsvp'd today, the rest of the boys just told mac they would be here. we left the house at 7:30 for the place, we were still missing 2 boys and no text or call and they were not answering.
9:30 at the place 1 kid calls and says he is on the way! mind you, this is the kid calling mac, NOT a parent calling me. We are leaving the place at 10, still no kid, so mac calls him and tells him we are now going home.
If I were this parent, it would have been TOUGH, TOO BAD - you made other plans, you do those and you miss the party, but nope, the kid shows up at our house at 10:30ish, AND THEN they start calling the last kid who has not shown up. Apparently he and his mom fell asleep. again, TOO BAD, it is 10:30 at night, no way in hell would I take my kid to a party with parents I do not really know at over 4 HOURS LATE!!
I prepaid for these kids for food and a game card at this arcade place, you can't call me!?!
And people wonder why I have not made friends with any of the other parents.
SO now all 5 boys are here. 14 and 15 year olds playing games, stuffing their faces and I WANT TO YELL AT THEM ALL ABOUT MANNERS AND RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY because obviously they are not learning that anywhere.
