And another coworker just gave me half an avocado. I must look hungry today.

I am a hugger, so I am also cuddly toward my friends.
While I was setting up the GCS table at the con, two little girls gave me fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies. I asked them if I looked like I needed sugar, and they chorused "Yes!"
Current recipients of my cuddling tendencies are: husband, children, pets. So far, my coworkers are safe from me, as are my more hug-averse friends.
Yeah, and some of us have no pets, no partner, and no children. :(
That said, while there was some snuggling/spooning going on, there were also some great round squishy stuffed animal/pillows that were great for cuddling with, and lots of other stuff like hand or foot rubs, hair petting, etc. And many of the people there (there were maybe 12?) were massage therapists, yoga teachers, or acupuncturists, so it was lots of folks who are very professionally touchy. I was definitely not the one in the middle of the spoon train though...but the people who were had actually met before, at previous parties and stuff. I think those of us who were new were more on the "hair pets and sitting next to each other with arms around a shoulder/head on a shoulder" kind of thing.
That does sound nice.

Awww. That also sounds nice!

Come over the next time you're in LA. We have hugs to spare.
I'm having the kind of week where I just want to hide under the covers and not have anyone ask anything of me for a few days. I want a responsibility-deprivation tank. Is that a thing? Can that be a thing?
Sounds like something else MM should be working on for us.
I'm sick. I habe a code. I'm almost never sick. What's going on, body, the immune system is usually right on top of everything that even looks at it funny. I'm sorry for those glasses of wine, okay? FFS.
I took a sick day yesterday and of course that was the day Dr. Helpless McNeedyBritches got his article proof and bombarded me with desperate emails, seeking direction he wouldn't have needed if he'd - you guessed it - read the instructions. And then desperate follow-up emails, because apparently my out-of-office-back-tomorrow autoreply wasn't soothing enough.
Cuddle parties are still happening? So weird, I was randomly thinking about cuddle parties a couple days ago and wondering if they were still done. I'm a cuddler; I'll cuddle anyone as long as they don't stink, and if they seem to really need a cuddle, I'll do it even then. I can't be in the middle, though; I get claustrophobic.
I want a responsibility-deprivation tank.
WANT
I am not a cuddler, in general, but hugging a Buffista is a good thing.
My problem with that dragon cake pan is that I read a story once in which a person was looking at what seemed to be a pile of rock, but then he saw a glittering eye and the rock pile uncurled into a dragon of the bitey, mean-tempered variety. That cake looks like it could uncurl.
My mother was having trouble understanding what was going on with her Medicare supplemental policy and suggested that the representative call me. It turns out that AT&T stopped offering medical insurance to its retirees last year and instead is giving them a lump sum in an MSA and setting them loose in the wilds of the insurance market. She didn't understand that because 1) she's 89; 2) she's been on AT&T's plan for 22 years; 3) she can't see very well; and 4) apparently everyone she's talked to until this rep has spewed jargon about the plans without emphasizing that she would be without coverage if she didn't choose a plan. I feel like I would have caught this if I had been able to get Nashville.
