Boss man dismissed our corporate volunteers 45 minutes early, stating they had finished their project, and when I questioned him, he admitted that they hadn't finished the project. WTF?! So instead of being ready to plant, we have hours of work left, because we don't have 8 extra hands that could have gotten it done in ten or twenty additional minutes. And they still would've gotten out early. He actually said to me in the morning that he was all about wasting their time and making projects take longer just to fill up the time, rather than, you know, getting more stuff done. He disrespects volunteers capabilities and contributions, and simultaneously wants to give them a party experience so they leave happy and wanting to come back with friends. It seems contradictory to me. If he gates them so much, shouldn't he discourage them by working them hard? Which it wouldn't, you fucker, because they are awesome and not lame and will take on what we dish out and be proud. Because that's my experience if the past five years, the "bring it on" attitude. Here he is bringing out the kid gloves and being all delicate about it and shooting ourselves on the foot.

Oh, and ED made another blanket statement of "don't be cranky, be kind" and boss man, bless him, called him on it. Saying that such statements made us all feel guilty whether we were at fault it not. ED replied that it wasn't his fault if our parents had instilled that mindset and that it worked to his favor if we were constantly second guessing ourselves. Wow, fuck you too.
Bossman then requested that the ED at least follow up the vagueness with private meetings involving the actual offenders. ED said of "course, he always does, don't we trust him? ". Me, probably one of the offenders, couldn't help blurting "No".
Dessert was a crazy concoction of lime ganache, coconut foam, mango sorbet and pop rocks that I am still tasting delightedly.
That sounds AWESOME
Was the ED stranded on an island and raised by monkeys?
It was. The meal itself was also really good, and I did not begin to explore the extensive cocktail/wine/beer/sake menu.
Our wifi isn't working, which is a blessing (can't do work) and a curse (can't watch hockey).
Oh no, do you need updates?
Cause it's tied at two with three minutes left in the third, but prolly if you can get here, you can check that.
The internet eventually decided to come back so I could watch hockey. I totally am not doing work, though. Not in OT!
Absolutely not! I mean, cmon.
