"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Something is wrong with me.

Wrong like awesome, as Nathan Fillion would say. I'd do more 5Ks if I had people to walk with, but everyone I know runs them. Ptui.

My next 2 weeks is: hockey, new computer delivery, hockey, go to Virginia for 5 days, home for 3 days, see AVENGERS with Steph et al, go to Michigan for 3 days, come home, go to the Dentist.

There may be more hockey in there depending on how Round 1 goes.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

No; they've been closed all week, including today. I suggested he call the endodontist who did his gum graft, just for an opinion, but Tim said "It doesn't hurt, and I'm keeping my tongue away from the sharp pieces." Okay then.

I'm surprised they don't have an answering service that can put you in touch with an emergency dental service. That is what we did last time TCG had a dental emergency on the weekend.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good luck to Tim. Dental woes remind me that it's been 10 years since I've been to a dentist (I would say "how did that happen?" but I know exactly how it happened and I'm sure no one else cares). I should probably do something about that. Have insurance coverage and everything...

Woo 5Ks! I think I'm going to miss the Spring dog-friendly 5k because I think it is happening this weekend and I don't think I can pull myself together enough for that. Woes.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yipes for the dental semi-emergency, Steph.

And ugh ugh and tons of sympathy, msbelle. I so feel for you. Much love and strength to both of you. Maybe some of his unstated stuff right now is clustered around his birthday?

We had an pretty ugly week here just because tempers have been flaring (mine as well as the kids) and tears have been shed, but the past couple days have been good, touch wood. Only problem is I've been unable to get work-work done, and a certain boy is turning 10 soon and he's been wound tighter than a spool.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

Una, that made me happy!

Yay! I'm actually working right now with one of the STScI folks trying to get some fulldome video clips to work. He's being very generous helping me, because I know things must be crazy there right now! We're planning to show the livestream of the Air & Space Museum event, and I'm also building a "Hubble greatest hits" show. The outreach resources are great!!!

If you see Story Musgrave, tell him that the Columbia Basin College Planetarium is doing well! :-) (He was at our grand opening!)

(ETA: this extremely late response brought to you by having left my office one minute before sarameg posted yesterday.)

This week has been a million years long. Now it's cocktail time.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm hungry, but I have lost my husband and have no hope of him returning soon. This is what happens when he goes to talk to the neighbors.

Neighbors, man.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Mine is helping the little old lady across the street with her gutters. Of course, our *former* neighbor is planting our container garden, sort of in thanks for all the gutter, roof, interior trim and minor remodeling he did for her when she lived here.

Pat me on the back, please. The Tea Party neighbor in her pink cardy and scooter chair just stopped by to kibbitz with the planting, and I managed to grit my teeth and avoid reply to her religious and political rhetoric. It sort of drivels out all the time, disguised as conversation. I did not kick her chair over. I think I deserve candy.

msbelle, you have all my hugs and best wishes and attagirls and any and all encouragement I can send. It just sucks, sometimes, and I'm sorry.

Oh! I just read where CA is on the brink of passing legislation making it illegal to own or imprison orcas. So, there's that on the positive side of balance today.
