Oh, msbelle. That's so tough. I wish everything would be calm for you and E.

I have a hivemind question about dental stuff: the other day, Tim thought one of his teeth was loose, and then decided it was just the crown that was wiggling around. (He called the dentist yesterday to get it re-cemented, but they're closed on Thursdays. He didn't just ignore it.)

This morning, the crown came off -- with part of the tooth in it. He says it doesn't hurt. (This is a tooth that had a root canal years ago.) He called the dentist first thing this morning, and it turns out they were closed all week, including today.

My question is, since it doesn't hurt and there are no roots left to be infected or anything, can he wait until Monday, or should he go to an emergency dental place? Is there any harm to a broken tooth just hanging out until Monday? He'd much rather see our dentist than an unfamiliar emergency dentist.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Why do tooth problems requiring quick dental work seem to occur on Fridays or the weekend?

Right? Dr. Google seems to think it can wait until Monday, but Dr. Google never went to dental school. So I don't know.

My gut opinion is that Monday is fine. Is your dentist office open today? Maybe call and ask their opinion? Though, they will likely suggest the emergency dentist to be proactive.

Six days til I sign papers and seven days till I get possession. I'm making lists of what to take on Friday which will be clean everything before moving things in on Sunday.

No; they've been closed all week, including today. I suggested he call the endodontist who did his gum graft, just for an opinion, but Tim said "It doesn't hurt, and I'm keeping my tongue away from the sharp pieces." Okay then.

hip deep in pie

I'm pretty sure I had a wait a few days with a broken tooth, the first time I broke one. As long as there's no pain, it should be fine.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I think he's fine to wait.

That's enough of a consensus for him!

I texted Tim to tell him "Buffista opinion is that you're fine to wait until Monday."

He replied: "I can store extra food in there!"

My reply: "Wow, that totally makes me want to make out with you," accompanied by emojis of disgust.
