I've made an appointment with TechnaGlass tomorrow, I can show them the pitting and they can submit it and we'll see. If Geico won't cover it, the cost is well within my abilities (maybe I'll use my new credit card with the hot rod flames on it).

I think the weather equipment in a town north of here is broken. They're showing 111% humidity. I think we would have noticed if they'd melted.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am doing some time tracking at work (because we were asked to estimate how much time I spent on each individual class that I support, which is not how my job description is broken up)-- and my boss and I had a terrible time. I am using this software called toggl, which is a time, and you can track by projects.

It is a little ridiculous, because I do my work by batches like "emails", but now I am tracking which class the email is for, or if it is "general", and I have things that I do that take 30 seconds or less in this manner. So I might spend a half hour answering emails, but some of them, for some classes, take less than a minute!

Also, do most people actually work the whole time they are at work? I have no idea where to put the "buffistas" time??

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I have no idea where to put the "buffistas" time??

"Sanity maintenance"?

"buffistas" time??

Support staff enrichment?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

They're showing 111% humidity. I think we would have noticed if they'd melted.

What's the category for filling out the stupid tracker? Seems like that's going to be a big one.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

I've been working on our Hubble 25th event for the planetarium and sarameg just made my job harder!

But in a very, very good way. (i.e.: embarrassment of riches!)

YAY SCIENCE!

Those are good!

I am seriously frustrated by this "per class" thing. I mean, I understand, but it is so opposite of the way I do things. For example, one of my tasks is to save the syllabi for all classes to a public drive once per semester. This takes about 10 minutes or less for about 40 classes. But I have to track it by class.

Yeah Sophia, definitely more time spent on tracking that task than doing it.
