Mmm, fried cheese curds
Flea, that's awesome that there's so many kids on the block, and that its friendly enough you already know they exist!
I left my laptop cord at home and didn't realize it until I was halfway to the airport. Too late to turn around, but early enough that I reappy thought about it. Ugh. Last time I did this it cost $75. I already have TWO cords, now, because of that!!
Laundered, cleaned, run to the store, beds made. Skipping on shrub trimming because I don't want to make my neck any worse. Think I will take Loki out for an amble.
Devices updated. Going to be out of easy things that do not require getting dressed on the To Do List soon.
For lunch I am doing a side-by-side tasting of TJ's Celtic Trio of Cheddars. Surprisingly, I think I can actually distinguish between them - surprising not because I doubted they would be distinct but because my palate really isn't very discriminating, not that I would be able to tell which was which in a blind tasting, but they definitely do taste different from one another.
Oh, Tom, that is sulk-worthy. The film, not the curds.
Put in a load of laundry and half-assed the bathroom!
I'm sorry to hear about the film, Tom.
Today's plans: finish breakfast (hi, I lurched out of bed at 11:45), then back to work on the horrible white paper of doom for the dayjob.
I ate too much, even though it was not even the full plate of food at lunch. feel yuck. sitting.
Boo for stomach yuck, msbelle.
I should grade papers today and go to the gym. I will go to the gym. The papers are a maybe.
I will probably also watch more Daredevil.
I am working, because that's all I do anymore.
Had lunch with Dad (the breakfast bar at Big Boy, which had everything I could want out of a breakfast buffet), watched the beginning of the Reds game with Dad, hit up TJs (made it out for less than $100, which never happens), went to Staples, and now I need to do our taxes, though what I really want to do is take a nap.
Shrubs have been planted (or un-planted, in the case of the spirea), and I have made maple-glazed nuts and am having a glass of fizzy water w/ bitters.
(Maple-glazed nuts: heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add 2 cups of mixed walnuts and almonds, 1/3 cup of maple syrup, and a pinch of salt to the pan. Stir constantly until maple caramelizes, about 3 minutes. Turn out on to a plate to cool.)
