I walked downtown to get some exercise (it's a little over a mile) and get a salad at a new place. Pretty yummy. Now reading my kindle and still contemplating what movie. Thinking the Vietnamese one just because of timing--next Jupiter and McFarland aren't for a few hours. Though I could shop...hmm.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Is it wrong that watching iZombie makes me hungry? Seems kinda wrong.
Our taxes are done! Because we paid someone to do them this year!
I am relieved.
Went with "whatever movie is next" so am going to see "Six Inch Heels" (the lack of caring is made easier by having a free ticket to use)
Pix, I think I am going to be working a lot on the front porch for the next few weeks. I think I'll pull a little table out here. It's really nice.
Strix, I highly recommend it! I swear, I procrastinate so much less as soon as I'm outside.
Laziness abounds here. Did some errands, but also took a several hour nap, which never happens. Now to do some work. Never ever take so much time off. It feels different.
Tech rehearsal is dragging on today.
i'm not pushing myself hard today, but I feel pretty good about what I'm accomplishing. It's non-trivial progress on stuff that needs doing.
ETA: Nope, just THREE 3:15 showings showing up at the same time, and we got to meet our back neighbors. So nice!
At least they all know the place is in demand?
I drove to Memphis today to visit my cousin who just went into the nursing home, and brought her some protein/vitamin shakes. Her brother and nephew also decided to visit at the same time, so we had a sort of mini family reunion in her room. She's not as bad off as my mom feared after last week - alert, eating, and bemoaning the fact that she can't get up and walk around by herself. But she is getting things confused, and asked about a number of people that she forgot had died long ago (plus, somehow got the idea that my dad has passed away). So while I'm not optimistic about her recovering much strength and returning to her previous active liffestyle, I don't think she's in a steep decline leading to an end in the near future.
I visited too late to make the start time of a late afternoon matinee of Woman in Gold, but it turned out to be sold out anyway which paradoxically removed any regret about missing it. So instead of movie popcorn and drinks I opted for exorbitantly-priced dining here, where at least the food quality made it worthwhile: [link]
