BTW, Teppy, how are Dad and the dog?

Dad update: the angiogram showed no blockage, and his cardiologist said that the change in the cardiac enzyme levels wasn't large enough to indicate a heart attack. So basically, his heart is fine. He has some serious gastointestinal stuff to sort out, but he already has an appointment scheduled next week for that.
Kato update: he doesn't have any kind of parasite or other infection, so the vet isn't sure why Kato is having gastrointestinal unrest. He gets more antibiotics and really expensive prescription super-low-fat food, to see if that gets things back in line. If not, the next step is blood tests to see if he has liver or pancreatic disease.
The rest of the household is in good health. Or good *enough*, and I call that a win.
The pooping pattern of my 8 year old is very rigid. He will only poop at home. He has a ritual involving squatting and playing ipad games. Keeping him unconstipated is one of the constant chores of our life (usually mr. flea's, thank heavens, due to our longstanding "I do vomit, he does shit" agreement.)
Yay for the proper functioning of loved one's bodily systems!
Teppy, I'm glad your dad is doing okay. Could Kato's problem be from the antibiotic?

Absolutely!
So, I love my grandboss. We're very much alike in attitude, which sometimes gets me into trouble. Anyway, last Thursday, I got this assignment to write a thing. Finished it Tuesday, they sent it off yesterday, and we got good news today. Yay! So there were congratulatory messages going around, and he sent one congratulating "the team." And then immediately sent another message to me and the other key person, cc: my boss, that said (and I quote) "Team, schmeam," and that he knew it was the two of us who did it. Sweet.

I wondered about that, but the vet doesn't think so. Plus, when he was on the antibiotic last week, the vet also gave him 10 days of probiotics, which is smart.
Connie, I don't remember if it was here or fb, but basically like lasagne: drizzle sauce to barely coat(or dip tortillas in sauce) start with a layer of those. (You want the bottom 'wet' to avoid rock hard bottom.) Then filling, cheese (if not in filling and you love cheese) layer of tortillas, etc. Top layer tortillas, pour sauce over all, more cheese if you love cheese, bake.
Well, this can only end well. I am informed that as of yesterday my dad is now a certified storm spotter. I learned this when I called to make sure he wasn't currently in the "take cover" zone for the tornado that is heading towards the WI house.
(He's not - he went back to Milwaukee this morning. "Not a great showing for your first day on the job" I told him.)

I was going to ask you if they made probiotics for dogs.
