People who have been diagnoses with anemia: did you notice a quick, dramatic change in your well-being after you started taking iron supplements?
I did. It was like awakening from being half-asleep all the time. I went from being a person who trudged up stairs to one who charged up them, and my mood improved along with my energy level.
So jealous of people whose anemia responds to supplemental iron. That sounds great.
I'm jealous of people whose anemia doesn't require transfusions. Red blood cells: you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone.
I am relieved that mine is pretty mild most of the time. Transfusions do not sound like a lot of fun. Oxygen is nice.
Damn, now I want that popcorn. And an Icelandic Easter egg!
One thing about this pregnancy that I don't remember from the last one: super sensitivity to smells. Which means that every time I sit on the couch, all I can focus on is the musty pillows, the dusty floor, the whiff of cat pee that may or may not be coming from the chair that the cats destroyed over Christmas... gah. My plan for the weekend is to keep all the windows open forever.
Also, I have twice this week left behind important objects in a place where I can't retrieve them for several days. Maybe I can blame that on pregnancy too?
Possible tat:
I have a tat on each shoulder blade already, so I'm thinking the full quote: the Angelus quote running straight across the part of my upper back, right across the top vertebral knob, and the "Me" centered under it in slightly larger font size. I wouldn't use the Angelus: "Quote" Buffy: "Qoute" just words with qoute marks around them.
The tat's for ME, and them's in the know will know what it's from.. That's all I care about.
Not sure what script to use: thinking about Buffyfont, but not sure. I've got a while to hammer out details.
You can totally blame that on the pregnancy.
I have comforted myself (for the lack of popcorn) with won ton soup. It helps.
There's a point in my cycle where I get super bionic smell sense. It's
awful.
I dread when it hits when I have a regular meeting with a coworker I'm normally fine with. Even if he's across the room, the scent of his breath is revolting. Objectively, it isn't, just repulsive to me. Even my own isn't a picnic. I've been able to smell a dog peeing a block away, and my cats own odor is like whoa. And that's really just fur and dust. It's crazy.
