Lest you think I'm too good at adulting, last night I took my recycling down, but failed to put it at the curb. WTF?
The good news is my coat rack arrived from UPS yesterday, and it unexpectedly has a marble base that's WAY too heavy for my cats to knock over. The bad news is it arrived without the wrench or the tines that the coats are supposed to hang from, so right now it's a loosely assembled extra-tall umbrella stand.
you just have to wait until she is back.
Our registrar (who is the only one who can register students, posts grades, do incomplete contracts and degree audits ) is going out for surgery with no back-up. The plan has her working from home part-time as she can.
Oh, like that isn't going to end in tears this time of year.

Big air pressure change = headache from hell. I realized I haven't really eaten today so I just took some Ibuprofen (can't take the good stuff until I finish work) and heated up some lunch. Once work is done, if this is still pounding, it is off to bed for me.
The weather has been beautiful over the last week. Today/tomorrow we are expecting snow. Not on, April, not on.

I kinda have no redundancy. It's not great for the people who rely on me OR for me when I want to not be at work. The role change that may happen for me could involve building out a team so I'm not the only one doing this, which could be interesting.
In other news, do I want to spend a little bit more money to get a desktop with a 13" chassis? It would take up less room under my desk and provide endless opportunities for dirty jokes.

Did not win the baking contest, but my cheesecake is almost entirely gone, so that's satisfying.
