WOOWOOWOO amych!!!!
I'm thinking about getting another tat for my August birthday. Either forearm or upper back. I may change my mind, but UI'm thinking
"Now that's everything, huh? No weapons...No friends...No hope. Take all that away...and what's left?"
"Me."
Thoughts?
I was just going to vote lime.
My desktop hard drive suddenly started making a deeply worrisome noise and now the computer doesn't think it has a bootable device.
Oh, no. It's catching. I'm still watching my backup download from Carbonite, and I seem to have organized my latest software to some logical place that I can't find. Also, Windows 8.1 has all these things that jump out at me.
I finally got into the BIOS and it doesn't think I have a hard drive OR an optical drive, which explains why it doesn't see the Windows 7 startup DVD.
God damn it.
Yay, amych!
Boo, shrift!
My upstairs neighbor has been serving delicious cocktails (emphasis on the plural there), so that's all I've got. And only autocorrect has gotten me this far, to be honest. That and a lot of back spacing.
Lime next time, Ginger. Now that I see how many lemons it took to get a tablespoon of zest, I'm not sure I have enough limes, anyway
[don't listen to the scary computer talk little laptop. You just keep on working, don't think about how old you are]
I have given up for the night. Now I am drinking vodka and watching Hulu on my Chromebook while I research new computers. I can try new cables, but I'm pretty familiar with the sound of a hard drive going bad.
Me, too. Vodka with raspberry limeade, and a short show to hie me off to sleepland. I'm dead on my fee-- ass.
Yay amych!
I like saying Maundy Thursday. It sounds so exotic. There's another name for it isn't there?
Holy Thursday, in my family. I'm not celebrating, since I just baked a pie to bring to a friend's house for dinner. Woops.
And now to bed and now to bed.
IMO a lot of workplaces have a lot of unnecessary stress culture. Yours sounds like one of them.
That is definitely true. I would have taken a random day off at some point in the last couple of weeks, at any other job I've had. That really feels impossible here. Which is clearly, obviously ridiculous.
So my day got off to a creepy start -- there was a bike accident on my behalf! A car stopped to let me cross the street, and two bikes slammed into the car! Clearly the bikers were assholes (too close to the car, going too fast, not paying attention to the crosswalk right there), but yikes. I figured there wasn't actually anything for me to do, so I just kept walking.
