Today is unpleasantly hot and it's giving me a headache. Luckily OTCs have dulled it even if they haven't made it go away completely.
Also I'd totally fail at this eat-vegetarian-more-often plan if it weren't for pre made TJs salads for lunch.
So on the insomnia front: finally was sleeping through the night last night only to have it interrupted by my son coming in the room and trying to get in our bed. sigh. But at least I fell back asleep eventually.
You need a place where you can hide from the meetings. And the meeting requests.
One of the reasons why I meditate is so I can leave my phone and computer at my desk and be all "yo, dawg, I'd really love to help you out but the do not disturb sign is up."
Young raccoons are surprisingly cute. And they coo!
At six months or so they become Devil-beasts.
I should do Meetups. One thing I'm trying to do is organizing some alumni networking for my grad school. That seems fairly likely to attract the right kind of people. (Grownups, at least.)
Agreed, Matt. That's why the cute stage was such a surprise to me.
I've been spending this week brushing up on some coding skills. Code Academy is great for some stuff, but the PHP section and I are failing to come to terms. So I'm taking a break and updating an old Ubuntu install on a small netbook I had tucked away that I used for my Linux practicing, back when I played around with Linux a bit.
Boy, there are a lot of updates since 2012. I suspect I won't be doing anything on that machine beyond updating for the rest of the afternoon.
In other news, it's in the mid-70s and pleasant here. I have the windows open, and I'm listening to the breeze in the new leaves. Very nice. This weekend it's supposed to get down to 27F. March, man. Also, Boston people, I ran across this on Twitter:
Glen Weldon @ghweldon
SPRING: My turn.
WINTER: Not YET.
S: OK can I at least-
W: YOU DO NOT TOUCH BOSTON.
S: Man what did Boston DO to you?
W: (whisper) they know
Ah, but the joke is on Winter! Because it is in the 50s here!
It's warmer outside my house than in.
I just walked the dog after not having been outside since 7, when it was about 43. 40 degrees warmer now! Both the dog and I got Too Hot!
