Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Strix, I can't believe I didn't say this before, but HOORAY! I am so happy for you and D, and I'm so glad he's finally standing up for himself. If you need anything, you know where to find me.

I'm not sure how I feel about all of this coming to an end. I thought I would feel relief, but right now I'm just sad. I loved that house, right up to the point where I couldn't anymore, and there's not a small bit of feeling like I failed because I didn't pay my debts as agreed. It's a jumble inside my head.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Sorellla, you KNOW I will call if I need anything...and you know YOU MUST call if you need anything.

YOU. DID. NOT. FAIL. Life stuff happened. You're not fucking Donald Trump (thank god) and you did you best going from 2 incomes to 1 income. You will feel how you feel, but I'm here to tell you you did the responsible thing, you did NOT roll over and abdicate your responsibilities -- you made the RIGHT choice for you, and you know it, and you aren't fabulously wealthy and shit happens.

YOU. DID. NOT. FAIL.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I answered two questions for people in Europe this morning. And now those people are coming back at me with MORE QUESTIONS. That's not buddies, people. Shut up and go directly to your weekend! It's after 5!

I keep saying I'm going to get rid of 3/4 of my shit, but I keep not doing it.

A funeral and a lot of travel slowed my decluttering to a stop, but I need to get back on the wagon this weekend. I want to recycle some electronics and call to see if the donation place is willing to pick up boxes of books.

I've totally failed on de cluttering. I need ms belle to come kick my ass and tell me which clothes to get rid of. :)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I can't even begin to list my decluttering issues or the shame spiral will send me into the self-harm zone. Suffice to say, spent half of last year actively decluttering SOMEONE ELSE'S SHIT and still have yet to make reasonable headway on my own. Garrrrrrgh!

NoRouz Mobarak, Suzi! and everyone else here too!

That's the holiday where everyone has a picnic in the park, yes? I love that one. I'm not Persian, but every spring there's a park in Irvine that fills with families and feasting and people playing and someone always passes along a plate of something tasty to anyone walking through the park that day.

This seems like a perfectly reasonable excuse to not having dealt with your own clutter.

Scandal: Holy Shit! I should have seen that twist coming with Huck, but I really didn't. I also think the story with Mellie running for President while her husband is still in office is kind of ridiculous, but I see why they would want to do it that way.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

That sounds like a glorious tradition, picnic in the park, sharing with passersby, I can just see kids just gathering together to play, not even bothering about knowing who everyone is, everybody just celebrating Spring-time, happy and neighborly.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Maria, confetti and champagne for a good resolution to the house drama! I echo Strix: You did NOT fail! Life stuff happened and you handled your shit responsibly, that's all anyone can do.

Strix, I feel safe speaking for everyone that we are not at all bored of hearing about this long-overdue triumph over the Beastly Ex! Regular updates, please, and pass the popcorn.

Clearly, we all need to switch houses for a week or two. Everyone cleans up someone else's clutter, because that's so much easier than dealing with one's own! Then we all come home to uncluttered houses.

NoRouz Mobarak

That sounds like a lovely holiday! I wish I could celebrate it today. What do they do when it's raining?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm so behind I can't even meara, but Zen, if you're really stuck for a place to say, my parents are just over the MD border and have 5 empty bedrooms right now. (They're moving to a smaller house - just closed today actually! -- but for now they're still living where they raised 4 kids and we're all adults now, so...)
