this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Yay, I got to see the family flea's new house! It's a nice bungalow with a lot of room, on a lovely street. And then we had Indian food, yum.

That sounds like good times, Teppy and flea!

Mmmm, Indian. I think I'll have that for lunch, if I can find parking downtown.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Woo hoo! Congrats to flea and family, and lucky Tep for being the first to see it.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Maria, I figured you'd know! Thank you; now I feel more confident telling my boss something she ain't gonna wanna hear.

X-post with Bitches: ltc is a girl! I won't get a chance to tell my in-laws until this weekend. So, I'm only posting it here for now.

Zen, from my MD town it takes 20 minutes to get downtown on Metro; it really depends on how nearby, and how long a walk to/from Metro. Driving is a much bigger PITA, I think, but I can still get there in 20-30 minutes because all the routes are tweaked for commuters (extra lanes, etc.).

My thinking is all of the close-in hotels will be booked up too, so now they're looking at the closest being Alexandria, Falls Church, Rockville, Gaithersburg areas. Arlington, Silver Spring, and Bethesda aren't true options unless they're booked way in advance during cherry blossom season.

Sweet little teacup. I'm glad things are progressing well for you, sj.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay, sj!!

I just would never really leave the house if I didn't have to. Not because I don't want to do things, but everything seems like so much work and sitting is easier.

That...does not sound great, friend!

I wish I had a good lead on how to find a therapist.

I've liked using the Psychology Today site -- you can get a good idea of the person before you have to call.
