This is the skating rink that is, indeed, on the second floor, above the post office: [link] It may be a death trap, but it has fantastic original wooden floors.

While watching "Hansel and Gretel Witchhunters", at the shirtless pond scene, when Hansel scurries away as Mina takes off her dress to take a dip, I was reminded of that meme of the octopus scuttling off camera going "Nope nope nope."

Though Hansel was, of course, persuaded that skinny dipping was fun for all.

I love the nopetopus so much. AND Jeremy Renner. And his arms.

I was all "dude, you're spending too much time with your sister! Beautiful women are throwing themselves at you!" Though it was sweet the way he slept on the floor next to Gretel's bed--then rolled underneath it when he wanted to get more sleep.

It's possible I spent more time just watching him than worrying about the rest of the movie.

My folks are in for the weekend. Have to find something to do with them that doesn't require a lot of walking, as my mom's sciatica has flared up.

I hate working late on a Friday.

That's all I have to say about that.

I can dissolve some of the creme caramel sauce in hot water and add it to my cold coffee!

I have enjoyed Grade B maple syrup in my iced coffee as of late. It dissolves nicely and isn't too sweet.

that sounds yummy, Nora. I always default to agave syrup because that's what I have in my cupboard.

I am home and on my couch but I can't find my remote. Woes.

we don't keep any soda or sweet juice in the house very often. I would drink unsweetened iced tea all day long everyday if I had a supply. Mac would drink sweet stuff all day long if we had it. He currently has some Izze.

Work continues to be a chore and my boss seems bothered that I "look and sound upset". I feel like sending him an article on resting Bitchface, but I doubt that would go over well. Asking me why I am upset is a little pointless as he is headed out to the golf course at 1:30 on a Friday and I am asking permission to leave for lunch at that point - MY FIRST DAY OF TAKING LUNCH OUT OF THE OFFICE ALL WEEK! Thing is, the customers, they all seem to love me - so why should he care how I look.

One good thing about being so pissed, I am becoming Ms. GET SHIT DONE. I got to the vet today which I have been needing to do for 2 weeks. I called and got a consultation with a Dr. I've been needing to do for a log while. I left a message to re-schedule my spa appointment. I am getting my oil filter changed tomorrow. And now I am going to call the handyman guy to set an appointment about starting some of the work on my house.
