Offer submitted. Actually pretty calm about it this time. Maybe cause I should know if it is accepted or not later tonight.
This place would need different furniture and it is kinda time for me to let go of a few pieces I've been holding onto forever. Like my china cabinet that has been wrapped in packing blankets in the garage for the last 7 years. Will see...no rush.
The townhouse we saw today was cute, but not right for us. The "third bedroom" was a postage-stamp sized room with no closets, and the stairs were incredibly steep and narrow (not just potentially dangerous for the kids but really uncomfortable to walk down!) And what I thought was a backyard turned out to be a parking space in the back. But still good to see what's on the market.
Jess, sound really like it is an early version of my hood. My third bedroom, you can get a twin into. In basically one space only. It has a tiny corner closet (that someday I'm going to just convert into a little cabinet: cabinet bottom, shelves top.)
Got everything done but a shipping run, which can wait.
Senior review is tomorrow, thank god, so I can stop having nightmares.
CJ has refused to participate in the house hunting process - so he basically gets whatever room K-Bug doesn't want (I, of course, get first pick). If the current offer goes under contract, his room will be ok-ish, but smaller than his room is now.
Driving out to look at the places today, K-Bug and I had talked about how I'm torn between wanting a townhome and a stand alone home. Pros and cons for each, especially since I'm looking at this being my home for a long time.
The place we offered on is a townhome, but the neighborhood feels much more like a single family residence neighborhood than the other townhome communities we have looked into.
I made that butternut flat bread Gris made last week, and it was easy and delicious!
I'm friends with too many of my coworkers on Facebook to be willing to share this Onion take on open-plan offices there, but it needed to be shared...
Does anyone know what Terry Pratchett's Award of Arms motto means? Noli Timere Messorem
I can't find a decent Latin to English translator
Red beans and rice was a success, even though I tried to make it healthier by adding more vegetables and less meat, and 2/3 wild rice to 1/3 white rice. Maaaybe used a little too much cayenne, but forewarned is forearmed.
Connie, it's basically, "Don't fear the reaper."
"Don't fear the reaper."
I do love the College of Arms.
