Yay, meara! Of course you needed a ton of rest after all your exertion.
Last night was kind of surreal. I was introduced, at a restaurant, to Cary Elwes, who stood up like a gentleman and shook my hand,
I want to lick your hand.

Flea, you should be find on the bed bugs by the time u you move ib.
We don't have a year go look. I have.About a month. Our lease here is up June 15th.
Anyone have brilliant thoughts about how to get to Montreal for 4th of July weekend, without breaking the bank? I can't figure out a good way. Stupid organization, trying to really mean "international" when they say it...ugh. I want to go to the convention, and see my friends, but I"m not sure my friends will even BE there, because it's so expensive!
Flea, bedbugs can survive 2-3 months without a meal, per the internet. But if they're having someone come in and spray....
The house will be empty (except for tools and stuff) for a month before we move in. How much should I be worried?
I'd say a month-long empty house gives you the freedom to significantly up the ante on pesticides, if the Terminex people haven't already done so.

Ugh, Airline prices here are so bad. I thought the oil tanking would help, but our $ is tanking against the US dollar. My friend and I have been looking for tickets for London in the fall and the prices are going up, not down.
I would think that doing most of your flying in the US would be cheapest.
Yeah, I tried looking at the Burlington airport, and at other places that are driving distance, but none of it seems cheaper enough to be worth the savings (if, after car rental or bus and such there would even be any savings left). It's not even cost-effective to drive to Vancouver and fly from there, or anything.
Amtrak goes to Montreal - the train used to be named The Vermonter - so if you can fly east reasonably, that might be an option.
My roommate was able to get the train from Chicago to...somewhere in California, Sacramento/Fresno area, for $143 one way when a plane ticket would have cost her $800 round trip. She was looking at tickets less than two weeks before she needed to be somewhere, so, yeah, the plane was out of the running. So maybe price it out and see if there's a combo of flying and train that might make it more reasonable?
Yeah, I've taken Amtrak over to Toronto before, although I can't get there from here now. It looks like the Adirondack goes to Montreal: [link]
Yeah, apparently it's a 10 hours trip one-way from NYC, or 8 hours from Albany. Between that and the flight and leaving time for the airport-to-train change, I would have to take way too much time off. And flying into Burlington, VT is not really any cheaper. (Though the train does look lovely and scenic! If this were just random vacation I'd probably consider it, but am trying to get to and from a convention)
