I don't, however, understand why after I have been attempting to run for YEARS now, I still can't run for three minutes and not have my heart rate be above what they think my max should be. Seriously, how can I STILL be so out of shape???

IANAD, but are you gasping too? is there a chance you could have asthma? Pre-official-diagnosis, I used to dance a lot and work out three or four times a week, and go hiking and stuff, and I would always be breathing hard and falling behind everyone else, and I thought I was just somehow still out of shape. I'm sure my heart rate was high, too, but I never checked it. Asthma didn't even occur to me.

Ah, nothing like coming into work this morning to see the team whose day I ruined has thrown me under the bus for being the messenger.

(The issue being their job is new, and the company was planning to hire people for it, but some folks in my job wanted that job, and got it when they were first creating it, but now they're cracking down on the fact that it's supposed to be a less-well-paid, less-experienced job, and they don't want to pay people like they're still doing my job).

Folks, if you were applying for a passport for your kids or spouse, would you think that somehow those people didn't need to come to the appointment? Like, a woman just called and she wanted to apply for a passport for her husband, but she would just bring in all the paperwork and he wouldn't come. This just boggles me. It's a hugely important identity document - our job is to verify that the individual applying exists and is who they say they are, and for that, we have to SEE THE APPLICANT!

Maybe that's the passport equivalent of "Oh, my boyfriend goes to another school; you wouldn't know him..."

I just made myself a frittata with broccoli, cauliflower, and a little bit of Colby and Jack cheeses (only kind I have in the house right now), and then drizzled it with Sriracha. My nonna is rolling over in her grave, but it was delicious.
