Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Connie, that sounds like the perfect dream-life.

Excellent to wear while meditating all "ohmmmmm"

ahaha! Yeah, it really gets me amped up for my day.

I don't even need to click on the link to get the gist of the t-shirt, because (1) I married into a family of electrical engineers, and (2) I know where you work. Also (3) puns.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I That sounds like a splendid dream, Connie.

Excellent work, payers down of bills.

Less said about self-evals, the better, I think - other than "good on you, getting the annoying task out of the way.

Happy Buffy-versary, people.

I've told my boss I want one of my goals to be "not to rage quit over the next "enhancement" corporate tries to spring on us". He agrees, but we have yet to come up with a corporate approved way of saying that.

Had talk with my manager today. She's awesome and always makes me feel better. Even better she had news of raises and bonuses! Small raise (that doesn't take effect until April and isn't in my paycheck until late April?!?) but bonus comes this Friday apparently!! Not much after taxes, but I feel like I should do something awesome with it. Dunno what.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Connie, that's an AWESOME dream! Yay, your subconscious!

The acronym of which is CMOS, of course, which makes me do a little double-take every time I see the acronym for Chicago Manual of Style.

Pshaw: CMoS is the one true acronym for Chicago. I should have it tattooed on my ass. (Then I'd have to update to upcoming editions...)

We have to keep all the windows and fans off for the next 2 days for the Radon...exam, I guess you'd call it? Which sucks, because it's so nice out, and I am a bit of a claustrophobe, and always have my office window and my bedroom winow at least cracked, even in the dead of winter. Oh, well...

I was just looking at my W-4 to fine tune my withholding, and I noticed I'm still set to be withheld as a married person. I don't want to ask HR in case they say 'Oh, we need to change that', because I like seeing myself still officially married somewhere. What are the ramifications of being labeled single or married on a W-4, if the withholding numbers themselves don't change?

Yay meara!

That's a great dream, Connie. You're practically Jarvis.

My one-on-ones with my manager are always scheduled for an hour, but we finish in half an hour. We seem to cover everything, so I guess that's okay? I can certainly use the wee bit of "extra" time to wrap things up.

I don't think it matters, Connie, as long as you don't try to file as a married person. The W-4 is more of a worksheet to figure out what should be deducted than anything else. There's no penalties for saying you have a bunch of dependents on your W-4 when you do not, for example, other than your witholding maybe being inaccurate. I used to have a co-worker who worked backwards, figuring out what she wanted withheld and putting in the number of dependents that would give her that result. But it's been a while since I worked in payroll, I may not have that entirely right.
