Two hours ago, I was in my bed asleep: warm, dry, content. I am no longer any of those things.

I apparently have just enough time to get to my 11:00 doctor appointment (ON THE RIVER) and get back home before the snowpocalypse starts. This had better be true.
The interim provost sent around an email last night at 6 p.m. announcing another RIF, university-wide for staff. No joy.

I don't fall under this (bus), as I am faculty not staff. The 13 people I supervise, however, do. The first part is voluntary, but they haven't announced the criteria that makes one eligible. When an employee is notified they are eligible for the voluntary deal, they will have only one week to decide whether or not to take it. After that it is involuntary.
Oh yikes.
