I just have too much stuff.
And I don't know what to do with it all. To the point where there is obvious trash that sits around in front of me.
I know that I don't even want to spend 15 minutes every day looking for stuff to leave the house . Or even 5.
The christmas corner is still up
sigh
the rest of you have no idea of the swirling vortex of chaos that is my home.
I hope the rest of you have no idea of the swirling cortex of chaos that is my home. If you do know, please continue pretending you do not.
I'm attempting microwave pressure cooker chili - that should feed me for a while if it works out. It's questionable because I am only sort of following the recipe, and starting with frozen meat rather than thawing it out overnight in the fridge, which always seems like a bit of a gamble,
The words "microwave pressure cooker" sound like "explosion" to me.
We manage to keep the living room, kitchen and bedroom pretty uncluttered, but the guest room and the office are so full of stuff that it's making me crazy. I WISH MY HUSBAND WOULD AGREE TO THROWING OUT SOME OF HIS ENDLESS CAR-RELATED CRAP. Um, I mean, we are currently discussing ways to lessen the clutter.
Eh, my home is a bit messy but not too bad (other than my closet). Otoh, I am single with no spouse or kids. It's easier (and I'm gone and don't cook)

The only reason I finally am getting rid of a lot of things that I've just let sit around for ages is that I'm anticipating a move. What's disheartening is that I feel like I'm getting rid of a lot of stuff, and yet it doesn't appear to be making a dent in my current amount of stuff.

I know, right? But now that I have one and have tried it out, I kinda love it. And I have great confidence in its safety features - thick, sturdy plastic, a three or four different safety vents, it seems well-designed.
We just cut out our cleaning service for financial reasons, so either we will find a system or our house will slowly disintegrate before our eyes.
The clutter was always there though.
Also, hi. I'm going to try joining in again, though I haven't read Natter in, um, twenty thousand posts or so.
I've become really ruthless about getting rid of stuff. Some of it's because we lost things, like when the storage unit didn't get paid, which is not a fun way to do it. Books are still my biggest hurdle.
