Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Connie, that would be perfect.

Missed marketing opportunity, man.

I had a G&T and wine with dinner, so that's good. Now to test out wine with grading.

Pix you are so lovely, I'm sure anything you would wear is fabulous.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

A friend who writes for the WSJ posted this WH press release and I just had to share:

Obama to Universe: "I loved Spock."

THE WHITE HOUSE Office of the Press Secretary FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 27, 2015

Statement by the President on the Passing of Leonard Nimoy

Long before being nerdy was cool, there was Leonard Nimoy. Leonard was a lifelong lover of the arts and humanities, a supporter of the sciences, generous with his talent and his time. And of course, Leonard was Spock. Cool, logical, big-eared and level-headed, the center of Star Trek’s optimistic, inclusive vision of humanity’s future.

I loved Spock.

In 2007, I had the chance to meet Leonard in person. It was only logical to greet him with the Vulcan salute, the universal sign for “Live long and prosper.” And after 83 years on this planet – and on his visits to many others – it’s clear Leonard Nimoy did just that. Michelle and I join his family, friends, and countless fans who miss him so dearly today.

The last hours of vacation are weird. I resent having to go back to work, but there aren't enough hours to really do anything vacation like so I might as well be in work mode.

I think I'll make popcorn.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Aww, that's awesome. I know he's been a disappointment in a lot of political ways, but I gotta say, as a member of generation whatever, Obama has been fabulous. I feel like he's one of My People in a way no other national politician is.

Met with my handyman, futzed about the house, made a pot of rice-chickpea-feta stew, and saw my niece's new apartment before going out for dinner with the family.

But there was too much garlic in the caesar salad dressing, and my alimentary canal is complaining.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

My mom just told me that my grandfather passed away tonight. Now I'm glad I stopped watching depressing movies that were expiring from Netflix Instant and put on the Muppets.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

oh, shrift, I'm sorry.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh shrift, I'm so sorry.

Onions give me tumultuous airs these days, and it pisses me off. Raw onion has for awhile but now even cooked does me in. I still have an iron gut wrt bugs and food poisoning ,but normal food is turning on me and I don't like it.

Found one too many white hairs and am now dyeing my head. I don't normally object to them, but the tax nonsense and generally fighting with my hair because of weather, it was just too much at 11:35 at night. So I sensibly applied dye instead of going to bed. OY. And I'll likely need to shower in the am because going to bed with a wet head definitely means Pumpkin stylings, and I need to go out in public first thing before more weather.
