I return and report from eye surgery! I have a honking huge bandage on the right side of my face with a metal cover over the eye. I'm ready for my Mad Max cameo. It goes away tomorrow, yay.
So, when they say you'll be sedated and you won't care what happens? They lie. It didn't hurt, but I cared a whole lot about being fully conscious and aware of what was going on in my eyeball. I even had to interact.
I won't go into details about the procedure. If any of you have issues with things in your eyes above basic health and safety issues? Pray you never have this surgery.
But it went beautifully, it just aches, and mono-vision is freaky as hell. I'm going to go to bed, put on my c-pap, and read fic until the nappiness takes me. I'm supposed to be under care of an adult for 24 hours, so I'm counting you folk. But I feel terrific.
Glad it went well, Connie!!
Thanks for checking in, Connie. I'm glad things went well, if more interactively than expected.
Rest up, Connie, and thanks for checking in.
Yay, Connie!
I just had an eye exam so my eyes are still all teary, so my sympathy is sharp and extra-fresh.
And I even own The Buccaneers (on VHS!)
It's so good! I watch it every couple of years.
Thank you for checking in, Connie. I'm glad it went smoothly.
You know who does nothing for me but I feel should? Chris Hemsworth.
He
shouldn't
do anything for me, because I usually don't go for Big and Blond, but
wow.
I am very, very appreciative of his existence.
Yeah, I know. That's the only reason I reblogged the water fight pics.
And I even own The Buccaneers (on VHS!)

Me, too! Never watch the version on Hulu, though, because they cut out a lot.
ETA part of me wants to ask if the CFR is a respected body, but really, even if it's just some guy's tumblr screed about Tony Abbot that's a pretty good takedown.
I had wondered that too. Looks like it's legit, it's been around since 1921 and has included more than a dozen secretaries of state in its membership. Current board members include Colin Powell and Madeleine Albright. And Fareed Zakaria, which I kind of love.
This is impressive, given that he's going up against Stephen Harper and David Cameron.
And Vladimir Putin, if he has his way. No, really. He more or less challenged Putin to single combat.
Of course, I'm one of three people who disliked whadoyou call it, that movie in Japan.
Rashomon?
