Speaking of Jensen Ackles, did he do a movie during a recent hiatus? I could swear I saw him briefly in a commercial during some Hulu-watching I was doing. Some deeply-stupid-looking movie about an American businessman in Germany, perhaps?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Agreed on Chris Pine, who never did anything for me before. But Colin Firth has always been yummy.

Mark Ruffalo looks like people I know and therefore falls under people I'd talk to, not people I'd consider oosting.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have to say, I'm a bit surprised at the complete lack of links to images in this discussion.

I really want to stay up and watch Sleepy Hollow, but I know how tired that would make me tomorrow. Sigh. It's not even me being responsible, I just don't want to be that tired.

Because books.

Jensen Ackles was not in a movie over hiatus, more's the pity. I'll take all of him. For the team, you know. Although I will admit that my Jared Padalecki lust has grown a whole lot over the years. He's just so big.

I feel like we should have a checklist. No, Colin Firth (although he does seem lovely), YES, Jason Momoa, yes, Tom Hiddleston ...

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Depending on how beefed up and bearded he is, CEvans kinda reminds me of my nephew, so I kinda nope away from serious drooling about I'm. I can see where others get it, though.

The Toms--Mison and Hiddleston--totally do it for me. Apparently lanky brown-haired Brits are my jam. I've sort of grown into an appreciation for Colin Firth. Although I liked him in P&P, Mama Mia sold me on him, actually. Seeing him go from Serious Austen Hero to embracing the Abba with gusto was delightful. And Momoa gets a hell yeah from me.

In other news, NC gets snow twice a year if we're lucky and today's one of the days. Which would be great, except that I'm supposed to fly up to MI for a job interview today. My 12:40 flight was pushed back an hour as of 7:30 this morning. The snow's still falling. I'm not entirely confident about my chances. If weather hoses my flights, does anyone know if I can get my money back?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

My To Do List is under 400 items! Woohoo!

OMG, if my To Do list goes over 15, I shut down mentally and watch renovation shows

I keep moving things from one to-do list to the next. For YEARS.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Something I've been meaning to post. You may have been found yourself thinking, I wonder which developed country is currently graced with the most incompetent national leader. Wonder no longer. The Council on Foreign Relations has done the legwork for you, and determined that this honor goes to Australia: [link]

I won't go into a litany of his many missteps, but for a highlight: apparently without consulting anyone else in the government, he decided to award a knighthood to Prince Philip. Yes, that Prince Philip. More precisely, he decreed that from now on, Australia was going to award knighthoods, because we're known for our aristocracy and many castles. Then he gave one to the Queen's husband. (One friend of ours pointed out that this was a demotion.)

It's not quite Caligula making his favorite horse a senator, but then I doubt Caligula's horse ever asked an Australian Aborigine if they still chucked spears at each other.

Schedule was sent out to clarify when and what the 6 meetings on this project in the next 4 days are.

2 of them are wrong times and topics. I can't even.

You're giving me Dubya flashbacks, BT. Although, to be fair, he never tried knighting anyone.
