Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

When you work from home, nobody can hear you issuing death threats. So at least I've got that going for me, which is nice.

This is so very true.

I've been productive today, but that means I haven't taken care of laundry. It also means I've eaten a lot of snacks. Grading requires energy, yo!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Fortunately for me, most of the people I mutter at are not here to hear me. But I try to keep it subvocal, because I am professional.

I managed to be a little productive at work, plus I tricked AT&T and got Hulu to stream video AND I tricked Hulu and got it to Chromecast to my TV. Ha ha, eat it, jerks!

Just found a job position in Zurich. I should express interest in that.

Compassionately intolerant

Apart from the opening number, I thought NPH was off his game, but I loved Lady Gaga, and I was really pleased to see so many winners speaking up about issues and making statements that will get replayed tomorrow.

I am completely Burrell in this.

I looked forward to NPH hosting more than any other host, ever. I ended up feeling totally meh, and sometimes squirmy with his performance. It's been said many other places, but joking about 'it takes a lot of balls to wear that dress' right after the lady talks about her son's suicide? Srsly? I would have given him credit for being able to adlib over a pre-planned joke better than that.

Speaking of which, the whole 'predictions' thing ended up beaten like the proverbial horse with a lengthy, uninteresting pay off.

I thought his comic sensibilities were better than what he displayed. Makes me think his delivery (of other people's writing) is the real genius. They should have gotten Joss to write for him.

Do we all need lovely jeweled brooches spelling out "that's just my face"?

If this exists, I need one in both casual and evening wear.

eta: ita would totally have told me off about that missed close tag. Sorry ita!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

For a Monday today wasn't too bad.(Some soreness from yesterday's shoveling, but otherwise ok.)

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Also, I seem to have "resting sad face" judging by the comments I occasionally get.

shrift have you been to Zurich?

...I have not been to Zurich. People seem to really like our office there, but now you have me looking at articles that describe it as a "buttoned-up banking town."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It probably means that no one would try to talk to you on public transportation!
