Yikes, WindSparrow! I have no better ideas for you.
I just looked at my calendar, and I basically have meetings from 10 to 4. I have 15 free minutes at noon, and as much as a half hour at 1. I need to figure out my food strategy! Especially since the 12:15 is an interview, so I probably shouldn't eat through it....
This morning it was 4, with a windchill of -10. Much better than yesterday. But the maintennce guy in my building was still amazed that I was walking 9 blocks to the train station.
The walk was OK. I should get long underwear, as my legs were cold, but I compensated with lots of layers under my jacket so my torso was hot.
So, the dog thing yesterday? Not a carjacking. The van was left unlocked and running outside the daycare. Busted via surveillance video from across the street.
Wait, what? Did the driver claim it was a carjacking to cover his ass?
I mean, the van was legit stolen, but by a couple of guys who just walked up and got in. And I can actually understand how that could happen - it was -7 or something, so I can see someone leaving it running if they had to go back in for something. But the way they handled it all was super shady. I'll bet they're bleeding clients today.
Three meetings down before 10:30. Maybe there's an explanation for why no one is completing any of their action items.
Oh dear. Although that seems to make it more likely that the people stealing it would have noticed the dogs in the back. I was sort of imagining a situation where they didn't notice until one barked and scared them or some other weird sit-commy situation.
That place needs a bonny, stat.
